2008 Communities
Collaborating Institute

|
Collaboration is more than coordination or partnership. It is a way of working that builds the will of a community to work together to bring about a desired future.
The Communities Collaborating Institute’s first offering in September 2006 is targeted to individuals from a cross section of organizations using collaborative processes to find new solutions to the complex issues facing their communities.
As a collaborative leader we encourage
you to join our learning community.

Collaboration is at the heart of how we work
at Tamarack. It permeates the way we interact with partners,
the language we use on our website, and the way we learn.
Collaboration is key to the work of Vibrant
Communities, which is very much a collaborative effort at
both the national level but also in each of the communities
participating in the initiative. In fact, those communities
and their desire to learn more about other collaborative efforts
prompted us to launch our Communities Collaborating learning
theme in 2005. We wanted to find stories of community collaborations
to inspire us and resources to help make collaboration easier
and more effective.
Over the course of twelve months we developed
this section on Communities Collaborating. Here you'll find:
-
-
Resources to help you manage
your community collaborative.
-
12 seminars featuring today's
best collaborators and collaborations, including audio
files of interviews with these experts and practitioners!
-
We hope you'll find helpful links, thoughtful
ideas, and practical resources on these pages. And don't forget
to check out the Communities
Collaborating Institute!
